Citadel Investment Group, Oct 26 & 27

Citadel Investment Group, L.L.C will be coming to Stanford for a job lunch on Wednesday, October 26, 2005 and company information session on Thursday, October 27, 2005. Please attend our information session to learn more about the opportunities available at Citadel. We are looking for candidates with strong software development experience and an interest in finance to join our Financial Technology Associates Program (FTAP) and our Software Development Internship Program.

Since its founding in 1990, Citadel has grown into one of the world’s most sophisticated alternative investment institutions. Our team of more than one thousand professionals is located in Chicago, New York, San Francisco, London, Tokyo and Hong Kong. We allocate our investment capital across a highly diversified set of proprietary investment strategies in all major asset classes. To help give us a competitive edge in the markets, Citadel invests significantly in technology. In fact, half of our organization consists of Information Technology professionals.

Since 1998, we have generated annualized rates of return of more than 20%. Our success has catapulted our investment capital from approximately $1 billion in 1998 to over $12 billion today. During this time, we have created over $5 billion of trading profits. The strength of our funds is further demonstrated by our S&P and Fitch investment grade ratings – unmatched by any of its peers.

Citadel is building its organization for the long term, by attracting and retaining individuals from around the world with tremendous intellectual curiosity, innovative ideas and a relentless commitment to execution. Each day we bring together enormous amounts of intellectual capital from the fields of meteorology, medicine, research, trading and technology, all with the goal of solving problems.

We constantly seek new ways to expand our core businesses and to create new business lines. Continued success requires the willingness to continuously build and rebuild our intellectual capital. We move quickly, decisively and with a major commitment of talent and capital. I have attached the Wall Street & Technology article written about Citadel's CIO, Tom Miglis. The article gives insight into how Citadel pairs technology and finance and what technology means to our business.
