Counsyl is a medical genomics company founded by a group of Stanford University alumni with the belief that every child deserves a chance in life. We are Stanford scientists, engineers and statisticians, and we’re well funded. We've built the breakthrough Universal Genetic Test -- a diagnostic-grade genetic test that is intended for parents planning to start a family. Our test is already covered by insurance and offered over 100 medical centers across the United States, within a year of launch. We've been featured in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, ABC World News Tonight with Diane Sawyer, MIT Technology Review, the Times of London, and many major national and international media outlets.
Prior to joining Counsyl, Balaji S. Srinivasan taught data mining, statistics, and computational biology in the Department of Statistics at Stanford University. Dr. Srinivasan holds a BS, MS and PhD in Electrical Engineering and an MS in Chemical Engineering from Stanford. He was an NDSEG, NSF, and VIGRE fellow and has been published in the New England Journal of Medicine, Nature Biotechnology, and Nature Reviews Genetics.
We're looking for programmers with an interest in comp. bio, machine learning, and statistics. We have a variety of technical problems to solve ranging from web app dev to deep bioinformatics. If you want to rewrite the future of healthcare, here's your chance! Bring your resume!
