Drinks and Snacks

Dear all,

Welcome back from the Thanksgiving holiday!  We will have our last language mixer of this quarter tomorrow (Tu) in the living room of the Bechtel International center from 5pm to 6pm.

This is a special session. We received a request from Grandma May to translate some Chinese letters. She is an 80 year old American woman who has used her own limited income to support many poor Chinese children over the years. The letters are written by the Chinese elementary students she has been supporting.  Unfortunately, she can't read Chinese.  Therefore, in this session, we will form pairs to translate the letters from Chinese to English, and then polish them into normal English letters.  I believe that both Chinese and English speakers can learn how to write a good letter this way. Besides, this could be the best Christmas gift for Grandma May!

Hope to see you all there on time!  Drinks and snacks are provided as usual~

Best,
Jackie
