[FREE-FOOD] Patents, Biologic Drugs, and Biotechs - Thursday 11/18 4-6 pm at the Law School

Patents, Biologic Drugs, and Biotechs - THURS 11/18 4-6

As part of the health care reform, a faster FDA approval process for biosimilar drugs (generic versions of drugs made by means of biological processes involving recombinant DNA technology) was created.  These laws also set up new rules for patent disputes involving those drugs.  The new rules may influence the practical value of patents on biologic drugs and which drugs biotechs choose to develop and to market.

The panel will feature speakers from Genentech, Hospira, and Momenta Pharma, Inc., and there will be plenty of time for people to meet the speakers after the panel discussion.
