[FREE-FOOD] Special Culinary Donation and Free Store Party: This Saturday 12-2pm!

Hello co-oppers!

Our friend and tremendous Synergy EA, Mike, is putting on a donation party this weekend and you should definitely stop by!
  • What: Special Culinary Donation and Free Store Party! Open to Synergy and the greater Stanford Community
  • When: Saturday, April 7th, 12-2pm
  • Where: Projector Room, Synergy
  • Why: Mike would like to donate the international cooking products that he has used to cook for Synergy, as he believes that belongings are best shared with a community that he appreciates. He will bring exotic foodstuffs from all corners of the earth, and you will have the opportunity to take them home with you and ask Mike if there is a story behind them.
  • How: Come along and bring a friend and anything you want to share. Look and see if there is something you are interested in! Feel free to forward this e-mail to friends who might be interested.
I've asked Mike if there is anything we can do to give back for his generosity with all of the items he has donated to us this year. Something that would be very helpful to Mike is to spread the word about his site, which includes both his passion for community contribution and his mission to go to a cool summer program to positively contribute to society. Check it out and share it with your friends via e-mail or facebook! I think you guys will be especially interested in the Community page, which tells Mike's culinary journey. Mike also says that in a week or so you can use that page to book him to play a sport, take a dance lesson, or learn piano!
Hope to see you there!

Subject: [Palo_Alto_CA_Freecycle] OFFER: 10,000 free books, Monday,  January 16th, 6-8 p.m. (4000 Middlefield Road, Palo Alto,  room k7 of the Cubberly Center)

Two rooms half full of used books; approximately 10,000 books. Includes
literature, psych, history, philosophy, religion, nature, gardening,
childrens', reference, crafts, science, mysteries and thrillers,
biographies, Judaica, sports, romance, health, cookbooks, Asian
language, art, french and german language, movies on VHS, and so on.
These are leftovers from a book sale, but there is still LOTS of good
stuff. Some books are in good shape, some are in rough shape; very few
are ex-library. The location: the Cubberly Center on 4000 Middlefield
Road in Palo Alto, rooms K6 and K7. The time and date: MONDAY, January
16 from 6-8 p.m.. PLEASE BRING BAGS and boxes to take away the books.
LOTS of fun for free!!!!!!

This month we have especially huge numbers of romances and thrillers,
reference books and cookbooks; not as many kids' books.
