Hi everyone,

We are looking forward to seeing you TONIGHT  at our 1st French Movie night of 2012. We will show "Potiche/Trophy wife", a famous and hilarious 2010 comedy! More info below. Open to all, so bring your friends!

February 1st, 2012: *8 Femmes/ 8 Women*
<http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0283832/>(2002). 8 Femmes is a 2002 French musical comedy murder-mystery film, directed by Fran?ois Ozon. In the 1950s, in a large country residence, a family and its servants are preparing for Christmas, when the master of the house is discovered dead in his bed, with a dagger stuck into his back. The murderer must be one of the
eight women in the house at the time, and in the course of the
investigations each has a tale to tell through song and secrets to hide. Hilarity ensues.

Feburary 15th, 2012: *Les Bronzes font du ski*
Eight tourists who met in a holiday camp on the Ivory Coast are reunited for a skiing holiday. A shot of French pop culture : "Les Bronz?s" is essential to your cultural literacy.

February 29, 2012: *Bienvenue chez les Chtis / Welcome to the
post office worker who dreams of warm weather is transferred to a small town in the frozen north of France, instead. Miserable at first, he eventually befriends the local villagers with lots of local colour.This film has become the most-seen (among the French themselves) film in the history of French film.

Two rooms half full of used books; approximately 10,000 books. Includes
literature, psych, history, philosophy, religion, nature, gardening,
childrens', reference, crafts, science, mysteries and thrillers,
biographies, Judaica, sports, romance, health, cookbooks, Asian
language, art, french and german language, movies on VHS, and so on.
These are leftovers from a book sale, but there is still LOTS of good
stuff. Some books are in good shape, some are in rough shape; very few
are ex-library. The location: the Cubberly Center on 4000 Middlefield
Road in Palo Alto, rooms K6 and K7. The time and date: MONDAY, January
16 from 6-8 p.m.. PLEASE BRING BAGS and boxes to take away the books.
LOTS of fun for free!!!!!!

This month we have especially huge numbers of romances and thrillers,
reference books and cookbooks; not as many kids' books.
